By design, this directory allows you to quickly highlight and find just what you are looking for. And since being included in this directory makes a business easily found using Google and other search engines, we need your help to keep this directory accurate so that it continues to be a valuable community resource. We are still working to deliver a photo gallery that will allow photographers to sell their photos. The Mecklenburg County E-mall, an Internet-based 'electronic mall' showcasing the products and services of our county's businesses, is still in the works. Thanks for your patience. Take your advertising dollar further with your own virtual lease; the e-mall will allow a company or business to have a customized page that can showcase its products and services along with being able to include 20 links to files/documents/websites/etc., a photo gallery featuring 20 photos, and 20 photos and descriptions of items (services, products, coupons, etc.) available to customers. Your business will also be included in the Mecklenburg County E-Mall directory, a comprehensive directory of the businesses and services within the county, and will be featured on the live county map. All of these features, and more to come, will be available for just $40 a month. A sample will be posted soon.
We are still encouraging your suggestions as we plan other ideas as well.

Bracey, Virginia -- The Root of Mecklenburg County: From St. Tammany to Today
The area now called Bracey began to form as a community in 1762 when a ferry across the Roanoke River (now Lake Gaston) began operation and the territory around the northern landing became a commercial center. The landing at Blanton's Ferry in 1792 became officially the town of St. Tammany when the General Assembly made it the first incorporated town in Mecklenburg County. Today, Bracey, Virginia enjoys a growing population of nearly 2,000 residents...
